A quick reminder that tomorrow begins Snowcoming Spirit week. Here are some of the events that our students will be participating in.
Bo on the lookout! This is a reminder to all of our families that report cards will be coming home today (1/26/24).
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and the fine learners of our districts. Having just spoken to both teams at the county garages. DeTour Area Schools/DATA will be closed tomorrow, 1/10/2024. Nasty roads, high winds, blowing snow, and dropping temps are the reasons. Includes CTE and The Learning Center. Please Share!
Today, our preschoolers visited Harbour View Assisted Living in town and did a little caroling and reading a Christmas story to some of the folks residing there!
Friendly reminder to all of our families that tomorrow (12/20/23) is the last day before Christmas break and everyone is released at 12:30pm. Everyone here at DAS/DATA would like to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Mrs. Livingston's 7th grade students had story hour with the the K/1 class today. The older students shared the Christmas mystery books they personally wrote and illustrated.
Please don't forget that the auditions for Moana Junior,are Monday and Tuesday after school on the stage! It's going to be so much fun! Mrs. Miller and I and Mr. Orr will be there. And maybe one more special guest

Christmas Spirit Week Starts Thursday, 12/14/23!
4th and 5th graders testing out their engineering skills, designing a Thanksgiving table for a STEAM project!
Today the 4/5 class had a visit from a local Ojibwe woman who taught our children how to make their own dream catchers!
DATA is asking for donations of gloves, mittens, hats, and other winter attire to be hung from our Christmas tree. Not only will this help keep our kiddos warm this winter, it will also help us get into the spirit of giving!
Due to scheduling conflicts, we have had to move the Boys Elementary game against Pickford from tomorrow, November 30, to Wednesday, December 6. Game will still be played in DeTour and start time is 5:00.
Elementary practice is still tonight at 4:00 at Drummond Elementary and there will be no practice tomorrow.

On behalf of the DATA Elementary Parent Volunteer Group, we invite you to participate in our upcoming Eat, Drink & Be Giving (formerly the Festival of Lights) Fundraiser. This successful fundraiser has helped raise money to support the DATA Elementary students in several ways including field trips, classroom activities and student celebrations. This year’s fundraiser will be held on Saturday, December 2, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The DeTour Passage Museum will be offering Breakfast with Santa while the PVG will hold their Chance Auction Fundraiser. If you would like to provide an item for the chance auction, or donate in any way, please reach out to one of the PVG members and we will be happy to coordinate your donation. Happy Thanksgiving this Thursday! Just a quick reminder, we only have a half day of school this coming Wednesday with students being released at 12:30pm and no school Thursday and Friday.

Congratulations to our middle school Quiz Bowl team on taking 2nd place! They competed last night in Newberry. The team consisted of Kaime Galarowic, Drake DePaul, Jackson Bias, Leah Richwine and Jaxon Ondrus. Students are listed left to right. Keep up the great work!
